Rojo wanted
Everton are attempting to sign Marcos Rojo from Manchester United this summer. Marco Silva managed the Argentine international when at Sporting Lisbon and has earmarked him to play on the left-hand side of a defensive trio.
The Daily Mail reports that he would cost around £30 million and that United have informed him he may be sold this summer, with the club currently having five centre-back options.
Lookman pursuit persistent
Everton have not heard the last of interest from RB Leipzig for talented attacker Ademola Lookman.
The 20-year-old had a successful stint on loan at the Bundesliga club last season and the German side have tried to bring him back this summer.

However, Everton see him as a part of their plans for the new campaign. The Daily Mail reported yesterday that an £18 million offer was forthcoming and the Independent reports that Leipzig are hopeful Everton will thaw in their approach to Lookman’s future.
McCarthy recovery
Some positive news from Everton now, as James McCarthy steps up his recovery from injury. The Irishman suffered a horror leg-break in January after a collision with West Brom’s Salomon Rondon.
The Liverpool Echo now report that McCarthy has returned to light training at Finch Farm. The report claims Everton still have no timeframe from his return from the double fracture, but it appears he is progressing nicely in his recovery.
