Sandro deal

Sandro Ramirez is closing in on a move to Real Sociedad. The Spanish striker is all set to join the Basque club on a season-long loan deal from Everton.

According to Sport, the loan deal will not have a mandatory purchase option with the two clubs unable to agree a fee at this time.

The deal is reportedly set to be confirmed tomorrow afternoon and will give the attacker a chance of regular football this season.

The £5.3 million signing from Malaga last summer has struggled to have an impact on Merseyside.

Zouma hopes

Everton loanee Kurt Zouma is adamant that his career at Chelsea is not yet over. The French defender, who spent last season on loan at Stoke City, is to spend the campaign with the Toffees with first-team football unlikely at Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old insists he has not given up hope of being a Chelsea regular and will return to the club next season and wants to use this loan spell as a chance to ‘show people’ he is good enough for Chelsea.

Team news

Everton welcome Rotherham United to Goodison Park this evening in a League Cup tie v the Championship side.

The Toffees are expected to make several changes for the tie.

The likes of Lucas Digne, Jonjoe Kenny and Bernard will all be hoping for a chance to impress for Everton.

Zouma is likely to feature after Michael Keane’s fractured skull.
