Everton are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Mbaye Niang from Torino this summer. TMW relay a report from Tuttosport in which Niang’s future is discussed after an impressive showing at the World Cup with Senegal.
French sides Marseille, Nice and Monaco are all said to be keen on the player but Everton and Arsenal are now also keen.
The attacker had a decent World Cup but struggled in a spell at Watford in the first half of 2017.
Another report from Italy now and it appears Everton are interested in signing Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari.
The centre-back is said to be on the shortlist of defensive options at Everton, with Corriere dello Sport discussing a £7 million fee for the player.
The 26-year-old impressed on loan at Sampdoria last season and is also being tracked by West Ham United.
Williams could stay
Ashley Williams could fight for his place at Everton, despite rumours he is not a favourite of new manager Marco Silva’s.
The Liverpool Echo reports that the 33-year-old, who had a poor 2017-18, could see out the final year of his contract at Goodison Park before making a decision on his future.
Everton are believed to be in the hunt for a new centre-back to replace Williams, so it will be interesting to see how this develops as the season gets underway.
