Mina rumbles on
Everton are, reportedly, closing in on a deal for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina. The Colombian has been linked with the Toffees all summer and a deal now appears to be close.
As summarised by Football Espana, numerous reports in Spain suggest the deal could be struck today.
Mina is not training with Barca ahead of a potential move. Everton, who have identified Kurt Zouma as a loan alternative, are believed to be closing in on a deal.
Mina has plenty of other options from around Europe and Everton face a race against time to get a deal done before tomorrow’s deadline.
Bernard is on his way to Everton for a medical. The Brazilian international has agreed terms with the Toffees over a free transfer to the club. He will arrive at Goodison Park with a fine reputation after a successful stint with Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, who he left at the end of his contract this summer.
The Guardian report he has arrived at Manchester airport and will undergo his medical at Finch Farm in the next 24 hours.
Chelsea are set to loan out Danny Drinkwater on deadline day, with Everton set to battle West Ham United for the England international.
The Premier League champion with Leicester City is not in Chelsea’s plans this season. Therefore, Mirror Sport are suggesting he could be loaned out before 5pm tomorrow. Everton are looking for one more central midfielder and Drinkwater could be the man for the job.
