McCarthy recovery

Everton midfielder James McCarthy is approaching a return to action after his horror leg break.

The Republic of Ireland international has been out of action following a collision with West Brom striker Salomon Rondon in January.

The horror leg-break saw McCarthy immediately ruled out for upto a year. However, it appears he is likely to return to action sooner than first anticipated.

He will return to first-team training before the end of the month, as reported by the Daily Post.

Onyekuru excited

Loaned out Everton forward Henry Onyekuru has been sharing his joy at receiving a call-up to the Nigeria national team for the upcoming international fixtures.

Speaking to the New Telegraph the forward, on loan at Galatasaray, stated he was ‘excited’ to be back with the Super Eagles set-up.

Nigeria are in AFCON qualification against Seychelles during the international break and Onyekuru will be hoping to show what he can do after missing the World Cup with injury.
