Everton have rejected a second bid for Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig, as they make it clear the England youngster is not for sale this summer.
The talented attacker spent the end of last season with the German side, scoring five and assisting three goals in just 11 Bundesliga appearances.
A previous bid has been rejected and the latest bid is said to be worth £14 million. The Mirror report (live blog, 08/07/18, 12:39) it will take a bid of £20 million for Everton to even consider selling the 20-year-old.
However, he might be in Marco Silva’s plans for the season so this deal remains up in the air.
Everton have appointed Dan Donachie and Bruno Mendes at the club. As confirmed by the club’s official Twitter account the Toffees have decided to bring in Donachie as Head of Therapy Services and Mendes as Head of Performance at Goodison Park.
Donachie has left Aston Villa where he was well respected as the club’s chief medic. He has previously worked at Everton so this is something of a reunion.
Mendes arrives from Benfica after over a decade with the Portuguese side and will be looking to have the Everton players the fittest in the Premier League.
Everton have abandoned their approach for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney. The Scottish Sun have reported that the Toffees do not want to pay £25 million for a player who plays in Scotland.
The club will elsewhere have to start looking for a new left-back to fill the role of veteran Leighton Baines.
