Everton round-up: Jagielka unhappy, Bolasie and Besic futures

A selection of the latest news and gossip from Everton this week.

Jags unhappy

Phil Jagielka is not happy with his red card in this weekend’s game with Wolves. Everton drew 2-2 thanks to a brace from new signing Richarlison. It came despite the Toffees playing much of the game with reduced numbers.

Jagielka was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Diogo Jota. However, the Everton captain is adamant he got the ball – as he stated on his Instagram account.

An appeal is expected from Everton, with Marco Silva also furious about the decision.

Bolasie interest

Aston Villa are keen on a loan deal for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie. The DR Congo winger appears to have no future under Marco Silva at Goodison Park.

Middlesbrough are already interested in the player, but Aston Villa appear to be joining the party.

The Daily Star suggests Aston Villa want the player on loan for the rest of the season as they still look to improve their squad.

Besic exit

Middlesbrough remain keen on a loan deal for Everton midfielder Mo Besic, as well as Bolasie, according to The Mirror.

It seemed Boro were set to sign him for £6 million on deadline day, but no deal ever happened.

Now, with the loan window still open, the Teessiders are hopeful of securing a temporary deal for the Bosnian international.
