Bello interest

Everton are reportedly interested in the signature of Atlanta United defender George Bello. The Italian source Calciomercato is reporting that Everton have made an enquiry regarding the signature of the 16-year-old talent.

He recently made his MLS debut and Everton are said to be keen on his services.

However, they are not alone. The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Genoa, Roma and Schalke 04 are also keen on snapping up the teenage American sensation.

Gueye returns

Idrissa Gana Gueye will not play any part in Senegal’s upcoming international fixtures, after receiving a surprise call-up last week.

Despite missing the last two Everton games with a knee strain Senegal wanted to check on his condition themselves before deciding whether or not he was fit.

After assessment, his national team agreed he was not fit and sent him back to Everton.

Gueye will now work on his fitness over the international break.

Hiddink backing

Guus Hiddink has given Marcel Brands his backing to be a success at Everton. The Dutchman left PSV Eindhoven to take over the director of football role at Goodison Park this summer.

The legendary Dutch coach explained how he had tried to sign Brands as a player and had enjoyed working with him down the years.

Hiddink claims he expects Brands to ‘be very good’ for Everton.
