Everton are reportedly still interested in Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi, according to reports. Goal is suggesting that Everton are considering a move for the player, who becomes a free agent in two weeks time.
The Algerian, who is set to take part in the upcoming African Cup of Nations, has also been linked with Marseille. However, Goal has ruled out any interest in the player from the French side.
Of course, Everton fans have heard these links before. Brahimi has been linked with a Goodison Park switch on numerous occasions in the past.
In January, O Jogo suggested that Brahimi was scouted by Everton.
But Everton fans have always been cynical about the interest. The reports rarely come from the UK and Brahimi has always seemed an expensive risk.

However, on this occasion, the Algerian could be worth a punt by Everton.
Firstly, there is his free agent status. Whilst wages will not come cheap, Everton would not have to spend a big transfer fee for the 29-year-old.
He is also coming off one of his best ever seasons in Portugal. Brahimi scored 13 goals and provided nine assists last season, with his form toward the end of the season particularly impressive.
If Everton were considering paying a big fee for the player then this would have to be a no-go from the club.
However, with Brahimi seemingly hitting his prime at 29 and available for nothing, Everton might have to roll the dice.
