Talented Italian left-back Destiny Udogie has agreed a new deal to remain with his current club Hellas Verona until 2022. The 17-year-old’s first professional deal with the club was announced on their official Twitter account and it appears that it is bad news for Everton.

That is according to a report from Calcio Hellas, who claim that Everton had an offer rejected for the player.

The report claims that both Everton and Bayern Munich had offers for the left-back talent turned away by the Italian side, who have now secured Udogie for the foreseeable future.

The report also cites interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco from Gianlucadimarzio.com, although no link is provided.

Udogie certainly looks to be a top talent and Everton will be disappointed they did not manage to add him to their ranks.

The Italian under-19 international has been in fine form for the Verona Primavera side this season. His record of three goals and three assists also highlights his offensive ability and it appears he has a first-team future with the Serie A side.

As for Everton, this would have been a deal for the future, but the club will now have to look elsewhere if they have plans of bringing in a new young left-back to the under-23s.
