There have been numerous reports over the weekend regarding Everton’s apparent interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international is believed to want a move from his boyhood club this summer, with Everton now emerging as the favourites to secure his signature.
Now, The Telegraph has tried to summarise what exactly is going on with Everton and Zaha.
The report claims that Everton have made a £55 million bid for the player over the weekend. It also seems to suggest that Everton see Zaha as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, rather than as a wide option.

However, the report also makes it clear that this offer will be rejected by Palace. Whilst the London club accept Zaha may move on this summer, a fee in the region of £80 million is being sought for his services.
Everton certainly need to add some attacking firepower this summer, with the likes of Cenk Tosun, Dominic Calver-Lewin and Theo Walcott all goal-shy last season.
The Toffees are also pursuing Juventus forward Moise Kean, and it seems both players are wanted at Goodison Park.
Everton will, however, need to work hard to sign Zaha, who The Telegraph also claim is ‘keen to remain’ in London and is apprehensive at moving north again after his failed spell at Manchester United.
Everton fans will no doubt hope that they can find a way to lure Zaha to Merseyside this summer.
