Everton have received a boost ahead of the Merseyside derby this weekend. Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed three players are back in training.
Saturday’s Merseyside derby could well be Everton’s biggest game of the season. They top the league, of course – three points ahead of Liverpool.
Victory would be an enormous statement of intent over the reigning Premier League champions. Carlo Ancelotti will certainly welcome the return of three players to training, then,

“Andre Gomes is available for Saturday, no problem,” he told Everton TV. “Allan started to train with the team this week. If nothing happens in the next few days he will be available to play against Liverpool.
“I think Seamus [Coleman] is going to be good, too, because he started to train with us on Monday.”
TBR View:
It’s difficult to put into words just how much a win could mean to Everton. They haven’t beaten Liverpool in the league for a very, very long time but this year’s team looks special.
If they do get a win, they’ll simultaneously keep their place at the top of the table and plunge their neighbours into a crisis of sorts. It’s the kind of opportunity that doesn’t often come around.
And so it’s great news for Ancelotti that he’ll have a large squad to pick from. He won’t have 100% of his options but Gomes, Allan and Coleman are all players who may start on Saturday.
This is the news the fans needed, then.
