Everton predicted lineup vs Burnley: Richarlison allowed to play and Mina returns
Everton return to action on Monday night following the international break as they host Burnley.
Rafa Benitez’s side are unbeaten and the supporters will be keen to see that run continue.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager will fancy his chances of doing just that, as he’s been given some positive team news.
It’s reported that Brazil have not requested for Richarlison to be banned for five days as he was allowed to play during the Olympics (BBC).
Yerry Mina is also set to make his return to action this week having missed both Everton’s trip to Brighton and the international break with a knock.
With Mina back and set to return to the centre of defence, Mason Holgate is available to be shifted out to the right-back role to cover for the injured Seamus Coleman (BBC).
The only other change expected is Alex Iwobi coming in for Andros Townsend.
The Nigerian winger spoke in the week about how Rafa Benitez has been helping him kick on (Club website), and that could culminate with a start on Monday.
Aside from that, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who missed out on England duty with a tight thigh and a broken toe (Sky Sports), is expected to play.
Man of the hour Demarai Gray is also in line for his 4th straight start, having scored twice in the Toffees opening three games in the Premier League this season (Transfermarkt).
This is certainly a strong enough side to overcome Burnley and the Toffees will fancy their chances of coming away with all three points.
If they do manage to win on Monday then there’s a strong chance they’d be ending game-week 4 in the Champions League places – and deservedly so – after a strong start to life under Benitez.
