Everton defender Luke Garbutt has confirmed that he will be leaving Goodison Park this summer, in conversation with the East Anglian Daily Times.
The 27-year-old has been with Everton since 2009, when he joined the Toffees academy from Leeds United for an initial £600,000 fee.
However, Garbutt has only made 12 competitive first-team appearances for Everton, and has had six loan stints during his time on the Toffees’ books.

His contract with the Merseyside club is due to expire in a few weeks and, despite a strong season in League One with Ipswich Town, it seems that Carlo Ancelotti will let him go.
“My contract at Everton is up on June 30 and I’ll be looking for a new club,” he told the East Anglian Daily Times.
“The loan at Ipswich has been great for me and the fans have been brilliant. My agent will have discussions with Ipswich and multiple other clubs, probably, and we’ll assess it from there.”
TBR View:
There were high hopes for Garbutt as he progressed through the Everton ranks but unfortunately he’s not quite managed to make the grade at Goodison Park.
Though he has impressed at Ipswich, it remains to be seen whether they’ll be able to snap him up permanently, given the regular League One season ended with them 11th in the table – can they afford him?
That said, Garbutt is likely to have plenty of clubs interested in him, and hopefully he’ll soon be able to enjoy first-team football whilst settled at one club.
