Everton striker Cenk Tosun has provided an update on the knee injury he suffered while on loan away from Goodison Park, in conversation with Turkish outlet Haberglobal.
In January, Tosun had linked up with fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season after falling out of favour at Everton.
The Toffees man made five appearances for the Eagles, scoring on his full debut to help secure a 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

However, Tosun returned to Goodison Park after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in training at Palace and is undergoing rehabilitation at Finch Farm.
“I had my operation yesterday which is a success so now I am going through rehabilitation,” Tosun said.
“But I am going to be out for a long time. I believe there is a reason for everything. I am going to try and return even stronger.”
Tosun joined Everton from Besiktas in 2018 for a reported £27million fee and has clocked up 51 appearances for the Toffees, scoring 10 goals and claiming six assists.
However, the Turkey international has made just eight appearances for Everton this term.
TBR View:
You have to feel for Tosun, whose tough time at Everton looked to be over as he joined Palace and was finding his feet with the Eagles, only for him to then suffer an ACL injury.
There was talk of Palace wanting to move permanently for Tosun in the summer, but that now remains to be seen, while his participation at Euro 2020 – if it does go ahead this summer of course – has also been thrown in doubt.
However, Tosun definitely has the right attitude with regards to not letting the injury get him down and fingers crossed he will come back stronger than before.
