Gary Lineker reacts to performances of Jordan Pickford and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as Everton draw
The Toffees earned a share of the spoils from their game with Manchester United.
Former Everton striker Gary Lineker had high praise for duo Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford after their 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
The ex-Toffees frontman watched on as Calvert-Lewin enhanced his England chances in front of Gareth Southgate who was in the stands.

Pickford should have perhaps done better with United’s goal, scored by Bruno Fernandes, but he made a wonderful save late on to deny the Red Devils.
Lineker scored 30 goals in 41 outings for Everton, spending the 1985/86 campaign at Goodison Park.
He knows what it takes to adhere himself to the club’s supporters and took to Twitter after today’s game.
Great to see @CalvertLewin14’s progress. Getting better by the week. ????

He was also delighted for the club’s goalkeeper, Pickford who had a bittersweet afternoon against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
The England man is paid £100,000-a-week and has come in for some criticism this season.
Nonetheless, he showed his worth during the afternoon by earning his team a point at the end of the game.
Lineker believed his performance highlighted the ups and downs of the life of a goalkeeper.
Sensational double save from @JPickford1. The ups and downs of goalkeeping perfectly illustrated in this game.

Everton missed the opportunity to edge into the top half of the Premier League.
As a result, they are still one of several clubs who can realistically challenge for a place in Europe next season.
Carlo Ancelotti will know that a run of victories is required and he will be keen to return to winning ways quickly.
Pickford and Calvert-Lewin are both vitally important to the Italian and he will be hoping they continue their form as the season edges to a close.
