It is one year to the day since Everton ditched Ronald Koeman. In the past few months, plenty of the players who arrived at the club last summer under his management have also been pushed out. One such player was Sandro Ramirez.

As reported by The Guardian, Everton met Malaga’s £5.3 million release clause to sign the Spanish forward in 2017.

However, his time at Goodison Park was tough. He played 15 times, scoring just one goal, and struggling for form. He was loaned out to Sevilla, where he failed to score in 18 games for the Rojiblancos.

This summer he was eventually loaned out to Real Sociedad. However, his best game of the season so far remains in an Everton shirt. Just days before joining the Basque club, he featured for Everton in the EFL Cup against Rotherham United. The 23-year-old was one of the best players on the night, even providing an assist in the 3-1 win.

His time in San Sebastian has been less productive. He injured his knee early on and missed four games. He has played just three times and has failed to impress for his new team so far.

Before his move to La Anoeta, Everton boss Marco Silva made it clear he preferred it if the player stayed at Goodison Park. Judging by his luck since leaving, he might have better off forming a part of Everton’s attacking options this term instead.
