Everton are said to be in the hunt for Marvin Plattenhardt this summer. Sky Sports are claiming that Everton have targeted the Hertha Berlin left-back for a summer transfer. The 26-year-old is currently a member of the Germany World Cup squad and was a regular in the Bundesliga last season.
Everton are currently in the hunt for a new left-back, with Leighton Baines ageing and a lack of genuine options in reserve.
Plattenhardt would fit the bill for what Everton are after this summer and would be a smart move.
The Cherries boss Eddie Howe wanted to lure Calvert-Lewin to the south coast with the promise of regular football.
However, the 21-year-old is looking forward to try and impress new manager Silva and become an Everton regular.
Rooney forced out
It seems as though Wayne Rooney will indeed be on his way out of the club this summer, but he is not overly happy about it.
The England legend has an agreement in place with DC United over a move to Major League Soccer. The Mirror claim he has a three-year deal with the club but that he never truly wanted to leave Everton this summer.
Instead, he feels he is being forced out of the club by the new management who feel he has no future at Goodison Park.
