Everton have joined the list of clubs looking to sign Colombian star Yerry Mina from Barcelona this summer.
The Liverpool Echo reports that Everton have already contacted Barcelona about a move for the World Cup star, who equalised in the final minute of Colombia’s tie with England yesterday.
Barcelona only signed him in January but need to sell a non-EU player this summer and have not been impressed by the giant 23-year-old.
Everton are in the hunt for a new centre-back and the Colombian seems to have become the number one target. Goal.com suggest Everton’s offer for the player is in the region of €24 million (£21.2 million).
Everton have been linked with an interest in West Brom defender Craig Dawson recently. Now, the defender has handed in a transfer request at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies were relegated this summer and, according to the BBC, Everton join West Ham and Burnley in wanting the 28-year-old.
West Brom value him at £20m-plus, a fee nobody has yet been willing to offer.
Hornby signs on
Talented striker Fraser Hornby has signed his first professional contract with the club. The former central midfielder has been transformed into a front-man recently.
He was excellent for Scotland at this summer’s Toulon Tournament and fans at Everton have favourably compared him to club legend Duncan Ferguson.
Time will tell if the 18-year-old can get first-team football at Everton next season.
