Everton have lost their last three consecutive games in the Premier League and now have a mini break before they return to action on 26 February.

The Toffees travel to Cardiff City in the league in their next fixture and need to make sure they are back to their best.

Manager Marco Silva has the time to regroup his struggling squad and there are a number of individuals that need to improve.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is someone who has endured lousy form of late and he’s meant to be one of the most talented individuals at Goodison Park.

Sigurdsson, who earns £100,000-a-week (Spotrac), is certainly someone who has pressure on him to deliver consistently as one of the senior players.

The Iceland international has managed 10 goals across all competitions this season, but he’s gone invisible in recent games and needs to return revitalised after the break.

He is capable of getting the Merseyside club back into contention for the European spots, but if he’s not performing then he should not be immune to being benched by Silva.

Sigurdsson, 29, is someone that the manager needs to help dig him out of a precarious position.
