Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has lavished praise on teammate Idrissa Gueye, claiming he has ‘added a new dimension’ to his game.
The Senegal international has been one of the Toffees’ outstanding performers of late, and has been a big reason for the team’s upturn in form.
It is to Gueye’s credit that he has produced his best form of the season so soon after being heavily linked with a January departure.

The £7 million signing from Aston Villa was pursued by Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the year, with Sky Sports reporting they had even lodged a £26.2 million bid.
In the eyes of Frenchman Schneiderlin, Gueye has elevated his game to whole new level.
He told the club’s official website: “Gana is just amazing in what he does.
“In games and in training, he has added a new dimension to his game. Before you could see his main point was getting the ball back, but now he likes to drive forward with the ball and take people on. He is using all his qualities now.”
TBR’s view
Gueye, who earns £75,000-a-week at Goodison Park (The Daily Mail), has certainly raised his game in recent weeks.
He has been one of Everton’s most consistent players over the past couple of years, but arguably he has never played better than in the second half of 2018/19.

Everton fans will hope that’s not because he is trying to keep alive his PSG ‘dream’, but most could not begrudge him a move at the end of the season.
One thing is for sure, he will be very difficult to replace if he does move on to a bigger club.
