Beni Baningime is an Everton midfielder that has come through the academy ranks at the Merseyside club and made his senior debut back in 2017.
The enforcer has 12 senior appearances under his belt for the Toffees and was highly-rated following his first-team breakthrough.
But he’s not played a single games under current senior boss Marco Silva and was shipped out on loan to Wigan Athletic in January.
The 20-year-old managed just one appearance for Championship outfit Wigan during a disastrous loan spell and he’s taken a major step backwards.
Baningime certainly doesn’t look in line for his next chance at Goodison Park any time soon and has surely slipped down the pecking order.
After failing to make a breakthrough for a Wigan side that finished in the bottom half of the Championship, there is no chance he is ready to impact Silva’s team next season.
The young central midfielder needs another stint out on loan next season to try restore some confidence and prove he can have a future in the Premier League.
He was given his Everton first-team debut by David Unsworth at the time and showed maturity beyond his years by looking composed on the ball, while he’s decent in the defensive phase too.
But Baningime is back at square one by the looks of it has to work his way up again.
