It has been a pretty decent start to the 2019/20 campaign for Everton as Marco Silva goes in search of securing a place in European competition next season.
Wins against Watford and Wolves and a draw against Crystal Palace have them sat pretty in sixth at the first international break of the campaign.
The only blemish on their result card is a 2-0 reverse to Aston Villa; although things, on the whole, look pretty good.
Silva will have plenty to ponder during the domestic break. With several new players to blend in, he will still be searching for the consistent formula.
Here we look at three selection headaches for the Everton boss to ponder:
Number nine struggles
Eyebrows were raised when the Toffees handed Dominic Calvert Lewin the number nine shirt.

He started the first three games of the campaign but failed to contribute to a single goal. With Everton chasing a European berth that simply won’t do as far as Silva is concerned.
Mosie Kean arrived for big-money from Juventus and with him chomping at his heels, Calvert-Lewin will need to sharpen up quickly.
The 22-year-old and Kean could well rotate for a little while but if the England under-21 man wants a regular spot, he must grasp the opportunities when they come.
Midfield duo
With Fabian Delph now fit it leaves him to fight it out with Andre Gomes and Morgan Schneiderlin for those two midfield spots.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin is currently injured so won’t be causing Silva a headache just yet.
You would think that given they were signing in the summer, Delph and Gomes will be the first choice pairing.
Schneiderlin performed well enough during the first few games of the season, however, to at least have a say.
Iwobi or Bernard
Bernard is Everton’s highest-paid player on £120,000-a-week (Spotrac).

On Sunday against Wolves, he was dropped to the bench with Alex Iwobi starting on the left-hand side.
Bernard, 26 netted the winner against Watford earlier in the season and you would expect that he will still play an important part in Silva’s plans.
On the right, it seems for all the world that Richarlison has made that position his own. As a result, the left-hand side looks like a straight fight between Bernard and Iwobi.
