Everton loanee Jonjoe Kenny has described reported Liverpool target Jadon Sancho as a “top, top player” as the two players prepare to lock horns this afternoon.
The Daily Mail claimed in February that the Reds had informed Borussia Dortmund of their desire to sign the England international later this year.
Numerous other elite clubs have also been linked with Sancho, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea (Transfermarkt).
Sancho has helped Dortmund to second in the Bundesliga table, just four points behind Bayern Munich, as the league prepares to return this weekend.
Individually, the 20-year-old has weighed in with a simply remarkable 31 goals and 42 assists from just 90 first-team games.
Dortmund and Kenny’s Schalke face off in the Ruhrderby this afternoon as the Bundesliga returns following its suspension due to the global health crisis.
“What Jadon has done is unbelievable – he is a top, top player,” the Goodison Park academy graduate told The Mirror.
All eyes will be on Germany this weekend as the Bundesliga becomes the first major European league to return to action in wake of current events.
Sancho’s recent heroics need no introduction and it’s no surprise for him to be linked with the likes of Liverpool and other big clubs.
Will Kenny keep him at bay as Schalke look to claw themselves into the top five or will Dortmund keep the pressure on Bayern Munich?
