Everton loan watch: Garbutt gets another assist and Sandro scores on debut

Luke Garbutt – Oxford United

Garbutt’s loan team struggled for form once again. However, the Everton loanee is finally getting back to somewhere near his best.

He came off the bench in the 83rd minute and set up Oxford’s only goal of the game in a 2-1 loss.

Henry Onyekuru – Galatasaray

Was back in international action with Nigeria after missing the World Cup with a knee injury. He did not feature as Nigeria beat the Seychelles 3-0.

Shani Tarashaj – Grasshoppers

No game during the international break for the Swiss attacking midfielder.

Ashley Williams and Cuco Martina – Stoke City

Williams played the full 90 minutes as Wales beat Republic of Ireland 4-1 in the Uefa Nations League. But was then left out sat on the bench as Denmark comfortably beat Wales 2-0.

Martina will hope to feature for Curacao in a Gold Cup qualifier v Grenada tomorrow.

Antonee Robinson and Callum Connolly – Wigan Athletic

The American left-back was in action for the United States. He could not translate his form with Wigan to the international scene, with a difficult match-up with Brazil ending in a 2-0 loss.

Connolly was not in the most recent under-21 squad for England.

Kevin Mirallas – Fiorentina

No action for the Belgian with Roberto Martinez not selecting him for the Red Devils.

Nikola Vlasic – CSKA Moscow

There was no place in the most recent Croatia squad for the Russian-based loanee.

Mo Besic – Middlesbrough

The Boro loanee was in fine form as Bosnia defeated Northern Ireland 2-1 this week.

Joe Williams – Bolton Wanderers

No football for the Championship based player this week.

Yannick Bolasie – Aston Villa

The winger had to pull out of DR Congo’s squad for the game against Liberia.

Sandro Ramirez – Real Sociedad

His side used the international break to play friendlies against Alaves and Sochaux. Sandro enjoyed a fine debut, coming off the bench to score.

Matthew Pennington – Ipswich Town

No football in the Championship this weekend so the defender can enjoy a rest.
