Everton are now being linked with appointing Carlo Ancelotti as the potential successor to Marco Silva.

The Italian, who has won the Champions League three times as a manager, was sacked by Napoli yesterday evening after weeks of discontent at the Serie A club.

Now, as reported by The Telegraph, Everton are ready to make a move for the former Chelsea manager, who won the Premier League during his time at Stamford Bridge.

If they were to appoint the 60-year-old, who is also wanted by Arsenal, it would be great news for one Everton player.

Moise Kean has struggled since his big-money move to Goodison Park but Ancelotti rates his countryman highly, as he told Goal in April.

“I was impressed and surprised by Kean.

“His beginning of the year was amazing and there’s been careful management of the player, on and off the field.”

There is no doubt that, so far, Kean has failed to live up to expectations at Goodison Park. He has yet to find the net as an Everton player and a change of manager might be exactly what he needs to turn things around.

Ancelotti, as a fellow Italian, could offer a great opportunity for Kean to start afresh at Goodison Park and finally show fans what he is really all about.
