Everton are looking to bolster their attack and new information from journalist Fabrizio Romano has shared that they are interested in Hugo Ekitike.

It was another relegation battle for Everton last season. They are trying to make sure it doesn’t happen again in the next campaign.

Journalist Romano shared an update which will excite fans of the club. He said: “Everton have concrete interest in Hugo Ekitike.

“Told negotiation will take place over loan deal with buy option clause that can become mandatory. Terms of the deal and numbers not discussed yet, still at early stages with both PSG and player side.”

Everton want to sign Hugo Ekitike

It is great for the club to see that they want to sign a new forward. Sadly, it looks like Dominic Calvert-Lewin can be relied on anymore.

The English forward struggled last season with injury. In the end he only managed to score two goals. If the Toffees do not want to be in a relegation battle then they need a top striker. Ekitike looks to perfectly fit the bill.

The 21 year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker has top potential and at his former club Reims he showed just how good he can be.

The “amazing talent”, who is valued at £30million managed to score 11 goals in his 28 league games in all competitions for the French club.

This is the exact type of finisher the club need if they want to push further up the table and not be dragged into a relegation battle. The forward is clearly highly-rated as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Arsenal were all linked last summer.

The only issue is obviously that Romano has shared that talks are at an early stage. Everton will need to get a move on sooner rather than later so they do not get beaten by other clubs to his signature.
