Everton’s backup goalkeepers Jonas Lossl and Joao Virginia are both expected to stay at the club beyond Friday’s domestic transfer deadline.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the stars won’t be departing in the next 48 hours, with Lossl keen to fight for his first-team place.

That’s despite the club having just signed Robin Olsen on loan from AS Roma on international transfer deadline day.
Lossl hasn’t actually ever played for Everton’s first-team since signing from Huddersfield Town last year.
Signed on the watch of Marco Silva, the Denmark international bided his time for an opportunity but Jordan Pickford remained undroppable despite some questionable form.
Following Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival in December, he was then loaned back to Huddersfield for the second half of 2020/21.
£28,000-a-week star Lossl (Spotrac) has made Ancelotti’s last four matchday squads, but one wonders what is next for him after the arrival of Olsen.

The Echo’s report adds there are also no plans to loan out youngster Virginia, meaning U23s football may beckon for the Portuguese.
TBR’s View – Lossl and Virginia should both push for loan moves
It is surely within Lossl and Virginia’s best interests to push for a late loan move.
Neither are going to play first-team football with Olsen surely now Pickford’s new backup, and so a temporary move elsewhere would be more beneficial.
