Everton defender Matthew Pennington is reportedly wanted by Stoke City – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter would be keen to offload him on a permanent basis.
The Stoke Sentinel reports that Stoke are leading the chase for the centre-back in this summer trader window.
It is understood that they do face competition though from Derby County and Wigan Athletic though for his signature.
Whether clubs will move for a loan or permanent deal isn’t quite clear in the report, but a selection of Everton fans on social media wouldn’t mind if he is shown the exit doors at Goodison Park.

Pennington is a product of the academy at the Merseyside club and come through the ranks as a youngster.
He is now a 24-year-old that has only played nine times for Everton at senior level, with most of his first-team experience coming out on loan.
The English defender has had temporary spell at Tranmere Rovers, Coventry City, Walsall, Leeds United and most recently Ipswich Town.
The composed centre-back impressed in the Championship with Ipswich despite suffering relegation and it looks like there is fight on this summer to take him back to England’s second-tier, with Stoke the frontrunners as it stands.
