Everton travel to Tottenham on Sunday for the final day of the Premier League season – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have urged manager Marco Silva to play young attacker Josh Bowler.
The Toffees face Champions League finalist Spurs on the final day and will be looking to retain their eight-placed spot in the league table.
The Merseyside club have confirmed they will be without key attackers Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the weekend due to injuries.
That leaves Silva short of attacking options and a selection of fans on social media have suggested Bowler is drafted in from the Under-23s squad.
Bolwer is a highly-rated talent in the Everton youth ranks, but is yet to make his first-team debut despite impressing for David Unsworth’s team.
The 20-year-old is a right-winger with an eye for goal and has decent pace, with some feeling the last day of the season is the perfect opportunity to give him a debut.
Bowler moved to Goodison Park back in 2017 from QPR and cost £4.25million (Sky Sports).
The wide man has helped Everton win the Premier League 2 title this season and over the years the Merseyside club have a strong record of bringing through young talents.
Here are some Everton fans requesting Bowler gets a senior chance:
With richarlison and DCL out of spurs game i’d give a reward to someone like josh bowler and / or hornby on the bench

No Richarlison for Sunday so give Josh Bowler a chance on the right wing 🤞

Give Josh bowler a chance

He will probably just play Tosun and Walcott . I’d give that Josh Bowler a game he looked really good the other night on the wing in the PL cup

Now the under23s season is done I’d rather see a couple of them come in on Sunday. Won’t learn anything playing Walcott and Tosun. I’m especially keen to see if Josh Bowler can step up.
