Liverpool will have to wait a little longer to win their first Premier League title after Arsenal were dispatched by Manchester City in ruthless fashion.
Liverpool fans would have been hoping to win the title at Goodison Park on Sunday against their local rivals Everton. However, Arsenal lost 3-0 to City, with David Luiz largely to blame.
The Brazilian veteran came on for an injured Pablo Mari and never got up to speed.
His mishit clearance allowed Raheem Sterling to score the opening goal of the game. Luiz then hauled down Riyad Mahrez, receiving a red card as a consequence, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring from the spot. Phil Foden added a late third but the faults of Luis were largely to blame.

Everton fans have certainly seen the funny side of Luiz’s performance.
Whilst Arsenal and Liverpool fans were bemoaning his display, plenty of Everton fans took to Twitter to honour the player for helping prevent Liverpool having the opportunity to win the title on their home turf.
Of course, Everton were even linked with a move for Luiz last summer (The Sun), shortly before he headed to Arsenal.
The Brazilian is still out of contract this summer and some Everton fans were even suggesting he might deserve a contract offer from the Toffees.
Based on this display however, that might not be best idea.
