Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster is out of contract at Vicarage Road in the summer – and some Everton fans on Twitter have suggested that he would be a great target for them to consider for next season.

The Toffees currently have England number one Jordan Pickford as their first-choice option in net at Goodison Park, plus Maarten Stekelenburg and Joao Virginia as back-up options too.

But a selection of Everton supporters on social media have called for them to look at Watford’s shot-stopper.

Foster is the number one goalkeeper at Premier League outfit Watford at present and has kept an impressive nine clean sheets in just 29 appearances so far this season.

The 36-year-old experienced veteran has played 355 Premier League games during his long career and still has the quality to be an impressive star in the top-flight despite his age.

The Telegraph reported back at the beginning of March that Tottenham were pondering a potential move for him.
