Former Everton manager Sam Allardyce believes the Toffees lack firepower up front and need to address the issue this summer.
Marco Silva’s side have just beaten Manchester United 4-0 at Goodison Park in one of their best displays of the season, but Allardyce reckons the club are still one proven marksman away from challenge the top six.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “Everton were fantastic against Manchester United and it’s really put them on a high to end the season.
“But, if you look at where Everton need to be, they need another top centre forward.
“If you want to finish in the top six, which is what Everton fans are sort of demanding at the moment, then they need to find a striker who is going to get 15 or 20 goals a season.”

Perhaps Allardyce has a point, although Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have done quite well this season.
But some Everton fans were not impressed with Allardyce’s comments as they remembered the fact that he signed Cenk Tosun during his short stint as manager.
The Turkey international signed in January 2018 for £27 million from Besiktas (The Daily Mail). He impressed initially, but has had a very poor 2018/19 and does not seem to be trusted by Silva.

In total he has scored just eight goals for the club in 41 appearances, which is a disappointing return considering his hefty fee.
