Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye appears to still harbour hopes of joining French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The Senegalese dynamo was the subject of a couple of bids from them during the January transfer window.
Supposedly the Toffees rejected an offer of £26.1 million (Sky Sports) – that after the player had allegedly handed in a transfer request.

Everton were able to keep hold of Gueye, but it seems the player is somewhat upset at being denied his ‘dream move’.
Speaking to L’Equipe, he boldly admitted: “It is a dream that sadly did not come true. Every player works to join the best teams, to play in matches in the Champions League.
“But I was honoured that PSG were interested in me. Now, I know that I am of interest to these types of clubs, I am ready to go to the final level to join a top European club.
“I am going to work even more so that they come back to me. Maybe it is not finished with PSG.”

Everton fans react
Gueye has certainly taken a risk here by commenting in such a way so soon after the closure of the January window.
Perhaps he is still hurting at being denied his dream, but his comments do verge on being slightly disrespectful to the fans of his current club.
One or two certainly felt that way on social media:
