Dominic Calvert-Lewin is reportedly set for a new deal at Everton – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have expressed their delight with the speculation.
The Telegraph reports that the centre-forward is poised to pen a new contact at Goodison Park and that he’s on the verge of a senior England call-up too.
It is understood that the 22-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal to commit his long-term future at Goodison Park.
Calvert-Lewin has been with the Merseyside club since 2016 and this has been his standout season so far, as he’s become a nailed-on starter and is thriving under manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The striker has 15 goals in 31 games across all competitions this season and is now beginning to deliver the output that his work-rate deserves.
He’s a brilliant target man that is strong in the air and brings others into play, but the main improvement has been with his composed finishing.
The Englishman has also developed a great understanding next to teammate Richarlison as part of a two-man attack and they are both in spectacular form lately.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media are thrilled to hear that Calvert-Lewin will be rewarded with a fresh contract and believe his form lately warrants it.
