Theo Walcott came off the bench for Everton on Sunday afternoon as Marco Silva’s side produced one of their best displays of the season with a 2-0 win – but fans were still critical of Walcott.
The 30-year-old has been far from his best under Silva this season. It has seen the former Arsenal and Southampton man dropped from the starting line-up for the Toffees’ last two Premier League outings.
He has only had a hand in six goals during 33 league and cup appearances this season. Walcott has scored four goals, while creating two more. Instead, Richarlison and Bernard started on the wings.

The out-of-form Walcott, who celebrated his 30th birthday on Saturday, did come on to the field of play with 12 minutes left. But the £20million (Telegraph) signing failed to make an impact as Everton won 2-0.
Goals from Richarlison and Everton’s top scorer Gylfi Sigurdsson was enough to earn a surprise win over Maurizio Sarri’s side, who were perhaps still recovering from a long trip to Ukraine on Thursday against Dynamo Kiev.
Everton fans took to Twitter to comment on Walcott’s display against the Blues. Many fans were left frustrated by the £100,000-a-week winger (Spotrac), while others were just happy he did not start.
