Everton are reportedly interested in signing Cagliari defender Ragnar Klavan just 18 months after the experienced centre-back was sold by Liverpool – and Toffees fans have reacted to the reported news on Twitter.
Italian outlet Blog Cagliari Calcio has claimed that 34-year-old Klavan is a target for Everton, with Carlo Ancelotti being impressed with 126-time Estonia international while watching the veteran during his time as Napoli manager.
The Sun claim Klavan is available for a bargain £2million, given that his current contract is set to expire at the end of the season. Cagliari do have an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months, but that is yet to be done.

Phil Jagielka returned to boyhood club Sheffield United in the summer while The Toffees failed to make Kurt Zouma’s loan from Chelsea a permanent deal. It left Everton with little option at the heart of their defence.
Indeed, Mason Holgate has been converted into a centre-back to provide cover to Michael Keane and Yerry Mina – both of whom have been in and out of form this season. Everton desperately need another option at centre-back.
Everton fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club are after ex-Liverpool colossus Klavan, and many believe signing a player at 34 years of age would be a waste of time. One fan even claimed he would rather have Jagielka back.
