Everton defender Lucas Digne is reportedly attracting interest from Ligue 1 side Lyon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have laughed off the speculation and insist he will be staying at Goodison Park.
Le Parisien reports that the French outfit have a three-man shortlist of potential targets ahead of the January transfer window.
The report details that Digne is on Lyon’s radar alongside Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar and on-loan Galatasaray midfielder Steven Nzonzi.
It is understood that they want to sign experienced players that can make an instant impact for them and preferably speak the French language too.
Digne is an attack-minded left-back that has four assists in 20 games for the Toffees this season and has been a key player since he joined from Barcelona in 2018.
The 26-year-old is a dead-ball specialist that has a dangerous left foot and is defensively difficult to beat.
He’s previously played in his homeland France with Lille and Paris Saint-Germain earlier in his career, but has spent the last few seasons abroad.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media can’t picture themselves losing Digne, especially to Ligue 1 team Lyon.
The Mail have claimed that the Merseyside giants are preparing to offer the full-back a new contract to extend his stay and they value him around the £70million price tag.
