Everton have reportedly entered talks with Barcelona about their striker Martin Braithwaite – and some of their fans on Twitter are not impressed by the latest transfer speculation.

Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that the centre-forward Danish centre-forward is set to leave the Spanish giants despite only joining in February.

It is explained that a switch to the Premier League is most likely and the Merseyside club are in discussions about signing him, but top-flight rivals West Ham are too.

The report also states that some Spanish teams could be circling for Braithwaite, who is valued at £16million.

Braithwaite previously spent a brief spell in England with Middlesbrough, where he managed nine goals in 40 appearances for them.

He’s had success as a goalscorer in France and is a striker that comes alive in the penalty box, which is why Premier League teams are looking at bringing him back to England.

However, a selection of Everton supporters on social media have stressed they see Braithwaite as a bad transfer target and feel he would flop at Goodison Park.

Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti is a high-profile individual that should be able to attract some of the world’s very best, which could be needed to help the club improve on their disappointing 12th-placed finish in the Premier League.
