A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Mirror claiming that the Toffees have made a £5 million bid for Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson.
The Toffees are looking to strengthen their right-back options before the deadline passes.

Of course, Seamus Coleman remains a key figure at Goodison Park. But he turns 33 later this year. And they do lack depth beyond their captain.
It appears that Patterson is the player that they want to come in and provide competition for Coleman.
According to the Daily Mirror, Everton have made a £5 million bid for the Gers starlet. And it is claimed that they are hopeful of getting the 19-year-old.

It must be noted that Steven Gerrard branded a £5 million offer for Patterson a joke when asked about the reports. So it would appear that Everton will have to be prepared to increase their bid.
It does seem that Toffees fans are hoping that that does not mark the end of their interest in Patterson.

Obviously, he is yet to establish himself as a regular in the Rangers side. But that is largely down to the brilliance of James Tavernier.
And many believe that he has an incredibly bright future ahead. So they have implored the Toffees to make a fresh move before the deadline passes.
