Everton midfielder Fabian Delph is reportedly attracting interest from newly-promoted Leeds United in the summer transfer window – and some Toffees fans have responded by claiming they would like to see him sold.

The Daily Star has reported that Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has picked out the 30-year-old as a potential target, as he looks to bring experience to Elland Road following promotion to the Premier League.

It is explained that the Whites believe they can secure a £5million deal to bring him to Yorkshire for next season.

Delph, who earns £80,000-a-week (Spotrac), previously came through the academy at Leeds and made 58 first-team appearances for them at the beginning of his career.

The left-footed central midfielder has gone on to win six pieces of major silverware at Manchester City, including back-to-back Premier League titles.

He completed a move to Goodison Park last summer from Man City and was expected to back a big impact on the Everton team, but he played just 20 games in all competitions.

The Englishman has struggled with form and injuries in the past 12 months, so on paper looks like he would be a risk if Leeds step up their attempts to sign him.

A selection of Everton supporters would be happy to see the back of Delph just a year after signing him, but feel that Leeds could be a good fit for him.
