Everton moved into sixth in the Premier League yesterday with an impressive 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park.

The Toffees fought hard for a deserved win against Wolves with Richarlison the star of the show. His two goals secured the win for Everton, including his sensational headed winner, outleaping Willy Boly for the win.

However, plenty of Everton fans were also quick to express their joy at the performance of a summer signing.

Fabian Delph arrived from Manchester City this summer in a deal that divided opinion. Many felt his injury record made him an unnecessary risk. Others felt he was the perfect option to replace Idrissa Gana Gueye at Goodison Park.

His presence and energy also allowed for Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andre Gomes to put in their best performances of the season so far.

It was a great way to introduce himself to his new fans and Everton fans on Twitter were clearly over the moon with his display…
