Everton picked up a much-needed win over Southampton at St Mary’s this afternoon, with Richarlison scoring the winning goal in the 75th minute. Earlier, Danny Ings had equalised for Southampton after Tom Davies had earlier given Everton the lead in a dominant first-half display.
After the game, there was plenty of reaction to some of the performances from the Everton players. Davies again put in a superb display whilst Mason Holgate looks to have made the centre-back spot his own after Michael Keane’s poor form.
Another player who has done similar is right-back Djibril Sidibe.

The French World Cup winner joined the club on loan from Monaco in the summer. As reported by Goal, Everton also have the option to buy the player for a £12.9 million fee. Based on his early form at the club, Everton will undoubtedly be considering it.
Sidibe has now taken over number-one duties at right-back from Seamus Coleman, whose form has been in steady decline for the past few seasons.
Whilst Sidibe did not have an all-round great performance for Everton, he did set up the winning goal with an absolutely fantastic cross from the right-hand side.
It left plenty of Everton fans purring over Twitter and there is no doubt that many would like to see Sidibe sticking around beyond his loan deal.
