Cenk Tosun scored for Everton on Sunday afternoon as the Toffees played out an exciting 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur – but Toffees fans still believe he should be sold this summer.
Tosun, 27, has struggled in the Premier League since Sam Allardyce opted to lure the powerful striker to Goodison Park for an enormous £27million fee from Besiktas.
He has cost a whopping £3million per goal, given that he has only found the back of the net nine times in 43 league and cup appearances. His ninth came against Spurs on Sunday.
Spurs took the lead through Eric Dier, but Everton roared back. Theo Walcott and Tosun scored two goals, three minutes apart – with Tosun bundling the ball home from close range after Spurs failed to defend a corner.
Everton have little options up front by Marco Silva has preferred Dom Calvert-Lewin for much of the season, while Richarlison has also played as a striker. A new forward is expected to be brought in this summer by the Toffees.
Everton fans reacted on Twitter to Tosun’s display for Everton, and many believe that despite his goal against Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham, he should be sold by manager Silva this summer.
Tosun – Not cutting it is he? Expensive Allardyce signing. Probably difficult to move him on.

Oh & I don’t rate Tosun. Good touch etc but way too slow for the PL.

We're awful in front of goal, a new striker is an absolute must or we'll struggle again. DCL still young an will hopefully get better, Tosun nowhere near good enough to play up front on his own
