Everton recorded their third straight win with a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Goodison Park (BBC Sport).
Marco Silva’s side are now just four points off seventh place in the Premier League table, and will be full of confidence having beaten the Gunners, West Ham United and Chelsea in recent weeks.

In truth, Everton could have won by more having had 23 attempts at goal.
The only goal came courtesy of Phil Jagielka, who replaced Michael Keane at the eleventh hour after the England international pulled out through illness.
There were excellent individual performances throughout from Everton, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin in particular coming in for high praise.
The young Englishman was again selected to lead the line for the Toffees, and he made life difficult for Arsenal’s defenders.

He didn’t get on the scoresheet, but Calvert-Lewin’s hold up play and general level of effort was very encouraging for Everton, and enough to earn him the man-of-the-match award from Sky Sports.
Everton fans react
Some Everton fans were pleased to see another decent performance from their striker, who is really doing a job for the Toffees while Cenk Tosun remains on the bench:
