Everton fans react to Bailey and Chukwueze report

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Athletic claiming that the Toffees are keen on both Leon Bailey and Samuel Chukwueze this summer.

Rafa Benitez looks to be prioritising strengthening his wide options in the early stages of the Toffees’ transfer window.

There have been strong links with Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend in recent days. And it appears that the pair arriving at Goodison Park may not signal the end of their plans for those areas of the pitch.

According to The Athletic, Everton have reignited their interest in Bailey and Chukwueze.

Bailey scored nine and provided eight assists in the Bundesliga last season. Meanwhile, Chukwueze played his part as Villarreal won the Europa League.

It is not yet clear whether Everton plan to pursue either, or perhaps even both. But it would certainly appear that the fans would love to see at least one signed this summer.

Bailey has long been considered one of the most exciting and versatile attacking players plying his trade in Europe. And yet, he is still only 23.

Chukwueze meanwhile, is slightly younger. And he is a player with a release clause of around £69 million.
