Everton fans have praised Andre Gomes’ performance against Sheffield United following the Toffees 1-0 win.
The club leapfrogged Southampton in the Premier League table on goal difference with the result, with Richarlison scoring the game’s only goal.
He turned in Gylfi Sigurdsson’s free-kick with a superb header, which was the Brazilian’s 15th goal of the season in all competitions.

It was a solid result for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, with the Blades having been resurgent in recent weeks after an iffy first few games after the restart.
It was a sluggish first half, but Everton were much improved for the second 45.
One man that did come in for particular praise though was playmaker Gomes, who looked more effective in a three-man midfield.
The Portugal international was excellent in possession, dictating the tempo of the match and trying to create chances for the forwards.

Arguably it was the 26-year-old’s best performance since returning from his horror leg injury, and fans were sure to acknowledge the star on social media:
