A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news – confirmed on the Premier League’s official website – that Yannick Bolasie has not been included in the Toffees’ squad for the competition.
Bolasie has not played for Everton in well over two years. He has since spent much of his time out on loan. However, he remains at Goodison Park following the closure of the most recent window.

Carlo Ancelotti recently confirmed – in comments reported by the Liverpool Echo – that Bolasie is not a part of his plans.
So it would come as little surprise to some that the 31-year-old was not named in Everton’s Premier League squad. But others have been left a little disappointed.

That is because the Toffees have actually named just 23 senior players for the season. That also means that Muhamed Besic will stand no chance of featuring in the top flight before January.
Some have suggested that Bolasie – who earns £75,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – should have been included anyway in that case. Several have argued that it would not hurt to make him eligible to play in case they suffer a number of injuries in the coming weeks.
Of course, it would have remained highly unlikely that Bolasie would feature for the club again. But some do believe that Ancelotti should have still left himself with the option.
