Everton fans react on Twitter to Sergio Aguero interest reports

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Daily Star claiming that the Toffees have made contact with Sergio Aguero’s representatives.

Aguero is being pursued by a number of Premier League sides as he edges closer to becoming a free agent after an incredible spell with Manchester City.

The Daily Star reports that Chelsea, Tottenham and Leeds want the 32-year-old. But Everton have seemingly looked to put themselves in pole position for the striker.

According to the Star, the Toffees are unable to match his £240,000-a-week wages. But they have apparently told his advisors that they will make up any shortfall with a huge signing-on fee.

Admittedly, there are some on social media who are wary of a potential move for the striker given his age and his problems with injury.

But several clearly think that it would be a huge statement from Carlo Ancelotti’s men to bring him in.

With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the links with Aguero…
