Everton fans react on Twitter to Maxi Gomez interest reports

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Telegraph this week suggesting that the Toffees have made an enquiry for Maxi Gomez.

Everton’s summer window has kicked into top gear in recent days. The club have made three marquee signings since the start of the month.

And it would appear that they may not be done just yet.

According to The Telegraph, Everton have reportedly asked Valencia about their £13 million signing Gomez, with Los Che keen to move players on to ease their financial problems.

The Telegraph notes that Valencia expect to take a hit on Gomez. And it seems that the Toffees are now considering whether they want to make a move.

Gomez enjoyed a promising first year at the Mestalla. He scored 10 goals in La Liga. He has now reached double figures in each of his three seasons in Spain’s top flight.

And it appears that plenty of Everton fans would love to see him end up at Goodison Park. Several have taken to social media to express their delight at the links with the striker.

Gomez has proven that he can score goals at the highest level. And as he will reportedly cost less than £13 million, it looks to be something of a no-brainer for many.
